Q&A – Antenna common issues

  • Your antenna band doesn't match your device's application

    Frequency bands are based on usage and regulations. Regulations are not the same across the world. Plus, depending on what your device application will be, you will need to use a certain frequency band. For example, some antenna can work in multi-band which might be too wide set of frequency if you have a single band one, then it makes your antenna less performant.
    Antennas are not interchangeable, so we advise to check which band to use and that it fits your antenna at the beginning of your project.

  • Check the directionality and Regulations

    Depending on some regulations in some countries or the environment of your antenna, it might get limited capacities. We recommend conducting EMI testing, checking power transmission and to ensure the antenna don’t exceed the regulations.

  • Check your antenna’s connectivity

    Being also cables and connectors manufacturer for over 20 years, we advise you to check the connectivity inside your system. The type of connector used could be unsuitable for your antenna and influencing its’ performances.
