What is DMS Driver monitoring System?
DMS stands for Driver Monitoring System. Its role is to alert the driver to pay attention to control the vehicle. The driver monitoring system can analyze head movement, facial recognition, heart rate, blinking. The system is also equipped with steering angle sensor and a pre-collision system.
The functionalities keep being improved to increase safety toward diverse aspects of driver behavior before and during driving.
Taxi, delivery vehicles, long-haul trucks are mostly susceptible to feel fatigue regarding the time spend on the road. The DMS can recognize the eyes signs of tiredness, for example, and alert the driver.

Integrated systems
Inside the DMS itself, there are sensors, interior camera, LDS antenna, and other components. The integrated components allow to connect it with the cloud and send real-time data to be analyzed by fleet managers within a very compact space. Then abnormal behaviors or parameters will be identified, and actions taken accordingly.
