With the development of the automobile industry, cars are more and more functions. Like the Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) which unified connectivity platform designed to offer vehicles low-latency vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-roadside infrastructure (V2I), and vehicle-to-pedestrian (V2P) communication. And the signal needs to be delivered by RF connectors to make the function work. But the car will vibrate while driving, the RF connectors must be able to withstand it without causing a signal interruption.
For anti-vibration installations, we advise our customers to use our patented metal FAKRA range. Standard FAKRA connector types have a plastic housing while in Grand-Tek, we emphasized the metal body of both the plastic and metal FAKRA series. The differences are specified in the below picture.
We conducted connectors’ pulling force tests for three orientations to ensure the best quality of our products. The result shows, that our FAKRA connector types in metal version, can resist a pulling force over 50kgf, leading this the toughest one of the three.
